SYMPOSIUM/ PERFORMANCE AFTERNOON

1PM // SYMPOSIUM WITH SAM BELINFANTE AND LISA HALL
The symposium will focus on the role of sound in relation to the everyday, the domestic and notions of care. With talks from Sam Belinfante and Lisa Hall, as well as contributions from the artists and the Course Leader Thomas Gardner, chaired by the exhibition’s curator Irene Revell. The symposium will also be an opportunity to engage directly with the artists’ research, with the display of their research posters and through direct conversation, a unique facet of the course.

2.45PM // PERFORMANCES BY KHALED KADDAL, LEANNE CUNNINGHAM AND ILIA ROGATCHEVSKI
Khaled Khaddal’s multipartite performance project, CODE 03 and CODE 20, explores the psychological impact of the belliphonic on the listener during transformative socio-political events and the latter will be performed this afternoon. Leanne Cunningham’s performance installation evokes a new set-up of dialogue, as an alternative archive of personal knowledge.
